Glen Chip Grier, DVM

Glen Chip Grier was born the fourth son of a Jersey dairy farmer in St. Joseph, Missouri. His childhood was surrounded with a multitude of animals and learning to respect and properly care for those animals. He decided veterinary medicine would be a good career path that still involved his passion for animals.

Dr. Grier graduated from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture and was accepted to the University of Missouri Veterinary College. In 1987, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Summa Cum Laude. He was then accepted to a 14 month internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. This brought him to New England where he decided to stay.

Dr. Grier worked as a small animal veterinarian at a large multi-doctor practice in Massachusetts for 9 years prior to purchasing the Jaffrey-Rindge Veterinary Clinic in 1997. His commitment to practicing high quality medicine and honoring that important bond between people and their pets has remained constant.

Some of his interests outside of the practice include visiting National Parks with his wife Tracy and gardening.

Dr. Britney Hill joined our team in June, 2020. She recently graduated from Auburn University in Alabama, War eagle! Before vet school, she grew up and did her undergraduate studies in southern NH. Some of her favorite veterinary topics are theriogenology, podiatry, and surgery.

Her fur family is completed by her two cats, Gronkowski and Ninkovich and her dog, Kash (who has been by her side through all of her schooling and is almost as smart as her!). Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and friends. She can’t wait to meet all of you!

Kerri

Kerri is a certified veterinary technician who joined our team in August, 2021. She grew up in Massachusetts and moved to New Hampshire in May of 2021. She has always had a passion for working with animals and we are excited to see her grow with our team.

Emily

Emily is a senior at a private high school in her hometown of Dublin, NH. Emily has been at JRVH since June 2021 and has thoroughly enjoyed her time here with us! Aside from meeting all of the animals, one of her favorite things is meeting all of our clients and becoming increasingly familiar with each of our patients.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys playing volleyball, photography, and being with her dogs. She has two labs–Rosie, her athletic, five-year-old black lab, and Maci, her sweet, three-legged, four-year-old yellow lab. Emily, as well as her siblings and parents, have enjoyed breeding labs since 2016, which is what really showed Emily her passion for taking care of animals.

Sara W.

Large Animal Veterinary Technician

Sara joined the team in November of 2022 as our Large Animal Vet Tech! Sara went to high school at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, otherwise known as Monty Tech & is now attending Unity College online. She majors in Captive Wildlife & Rehabilitation & minors in Equine Science.

Sara developed a love for horses about a year & a half ago & that feeling has since grown stronger!  As Sara dove deeper into the farm world, she started to develop a love for all farm animals, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, etc! After about a year in the “horse world” Sara decided she wanted to work with horses & other farm animals & possibly help the animals that are sick & or injured! That’s when she got the idea to apply for this Large Animal Tech position.
Sara exclaims she knew she was in the correct profession & doing what she absolutely loved was about a week into the job!

She adores traveling to different farms & working with different animals & helping to figure out what is causing an animal discomfort & how to help solve the problem. Seeing an animal get better after being really ill or badly injured is just amazing & brings so much joy to Sara’s heart! Working with Dr. Hill as her assistant & tech has turned out to be Sara’s dream job & she loves every minute of it!

Outside of work Sara is usually spending time with her horse Ryker. Sara states Ryker is her pride & joy & greatest achievement! She rescued him from a kill pen June of 2022 & he was very ill & extremally thin from malnourishment. He had scars, infected cuts & his hoofs were chipped & overgrown. After three months of fighting his disease & working with the vet to make him better, he finally became 100% healthy! Sara is now training him, riding him & taking him to local competitions. Sara says Ryker is also part of the reason she became a Large Animal Tech. “To watch his progress from being super sick to how he is now motivated me to help other animals like him to become 100%”!

She loves getting to know the animals and their personalities because she finds behavioral traits very interesting. Tessa knew she was in the right profession on day one! Working with animals and helping them live happy, healthy lives has always made her heart so happy!
