Glen Chip Grier, DVM
Glen Chip Grier was born the fourth son of a Jersey dairy farmer in St. Joseph, Missouri. His childhood was surrounded with a multitude of animals and learning to respect and properly care for those animals. After his father’s death in 1972, his oldest brother continued the dairy farm. However, he decided veterinary medicine would be a good career path that still involved his passion for animals.
Dr. Grier graduated from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture and was accepted to the University of Missouri Veterinary College. In 1987, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Summa Cum Laude. He was then accepted to a 14 month internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. This brought him to New England where he decided to stay.
Dr. Grier worked as a small animal veterinarian at a large multi-doctor practice in Massachusetts for 9 years prior to purchasing the Jaffrey-Rindge Veterinary Clinic in 1997. His commitment to practicing high quality medicine and honoring that important bond between people and their pets has remained constant.
Some of his interests outside of the practice include hiking, visiting National Parks, and gardening. The daylilies bloom in July, stop in for a visit.
